Led and managed all procurement, scheduling, and materials management activities for two plants,including order scheduling, inventory control, material handling, logistics, and compliance with customer specifications. Responsible for maintaining all materials related ERP master data.Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

I was responsible for championing and leading Lean initiatives by utilizing lean tool and principles. Organized associates in value stream mapping and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste in all office, factory and support functions. Measured and reported progress on an on-going basis using Lean tools, financial performance measures (ROS, RONA, etc.) and Lean report card measures. I then transfered the ownership of lean principles to facility leadership.

I was responsible for evaluating bids for standard and non-standard items. I selected suppliers for lower cost items and items of limited scope and complexity and negotiated price, delivery, quality and service. Developed alternate sources of supply by identifying and researching prospective suppliers. I was also responsible for resolving issues in the areas of requisition accuracy and completeness, on-time delivery and supplier payment accuracy. I Purchased parts, equipment, and materials by preparing request for quotations and submitting purchase orders with approved suppliers. Issued purchase orders that accurately reflected price, schedule, terms, and conditions as negotiated with suppliers. Maintained accurate lead times for assigned commodities.

Managed scheduler, buyer, materialists, and material analyst who develop weekly master schedules within rough-cut capacity by considering available inventory, customer orders, forecasted demand, both plant and work center capacities, product mix and operation efficiencies. Monitored and adjusted production schedules to maintain customer delivery performance at very high levels. Utilized Lean principles to organize and improve daily and future operations.
