Developer on the CyberStream team responsible for developing intranet and internet Java applets. The applets worked within a three-tiered architecture and utilized a common foundation written in Java with JDK 1.1 and conforming to OMG CORBA 2.0 component standards.Responsible for enhancing the PowerBuilder Application Architecture for SmartStream, which is a client/server application providing financial, procurement, human resources and order fulfillment solutions. The main objective of this project was to achieve database independence by accessing all business logic and data through a middle tier using COM instead of directly accessing the database via stored procedures and dynamic SQL. A key requirement of this project was to integrate within the SmartStream application and retain or replicate all existing functionality.Project Leader for the PowerBuilder Application Architecture for SmartStream and the StreamBuilder product while a member of the SmartStream Platform team. The Application Architecture provided the inherited PowerBuilder code base and common services for the application windows for SmartStream. These applications are distributed with conditional workflow and built in functionality to handle a multitude of international requirements. The Application Architecture provided as many as 6 levels of inherited code, including window code and user object code. StreamBuilder provided internal developers and SmartStream customers a set of software tools and documentation to modify and create new activity windows within the SmartStream environment.
