I've been leading development teams for over ten years. I'm responsible for strategic planning, project architecture and code design, but also negotiate with business teams to create technical specifications. Much of my time is spent working with project managers to break down the project into digestible pieces in order to build a project schedule. I love vision setting with developers and collaborating to create great systems. My technical lead responsibilities often extend beyond my primary project and I'll analyze other applications to assist with design questions or troubleshoot issues with other teams as well. I have a real passion for coding, so I make sure to design and write a good deal of code myself, mostly in POCs, or none critical path areas, but I've also developed a number of common scripts, libraries and tools to assist teams throughout the IT division.I'm always interested in new technology, frameworks, and libraries, and had the opportunity to use many different frameworks as they've evolved over time. Though I can't always justify the use the latest and greatest, so we try to be practical in our approach. I often give presentations on my research, or technologies a project is utilizing, or some of the latest trends happening within the IT division and am known as one of the better presenters in the company. I have a passion for technology and that happens to translate into my job.
