At JB Training Enterprises my job consists of booking, arranging and completing courses for our clients, this is a service, which means I advise the clients of the requirements they need for the course or qualification and give them dates of the course completion, working around their work commitments. I also test clients on the knowledge of Health and Safety, this test varies from a basic operative, like a heavy plant driver, to a management position. The tests also become more specialised, for example highways worker or a demolition operative. This test proves the competency within their sector of the construction industry.

My current position is mainly working as a chef but I sometimes go front of house to work as bar staff. This involves a more personnel touch, customers are the priority, I keep this attitude by maintain a professional manor and making sure I have a full knowledge of the products we sell. This has lead to me becoming friendly to regular customers which means they ask me about new products and products that are coming up either on the seasonal menus or the bar, because I work in both sections of the business, it means I have in-depth knowledge of the menus plus the bar. I work in a fast pace pub/restaurant, were I maintain a high quality of food presentation and taste but also of food safety; making sure food is in date and able to be served, reaching the required temperature of +75'c. I also maintain a high hygiene standard for example making sure the food fridges are kept tidy and clean, the work surfaces to be spotless and clean.
