In the year 2000, as a 9th grader obsessed with being the next star basketball player, I told my parents that I would not be able to go with them to the Super Bowl hosted in Atlanta because I needed to......complete my nightly two hour basketball drills in my driveway. They forced me to go, and thank God, because it was an epic game with NFL legend Kurt Warner and the Rams just barely holding on to beat the Tennessee Titans. Ever since I was young, I’ve had a drive and ambition to achieve at a high level. I definitely didn’t make it to the NBA (or even to my high school's starting five haha), but over the years, I have excelled at seeing the big picture vision of a project and knowing how to break it down into clear, actionable phases and steps, driving progress and accomplishing goals. This skillset led me into project management, marketing, public relations and economic development roles.I started my career working for non-profits and local government, including Economic Development and Public Relations for the City of Lilburn, where I helped catalyze significant downtown development and establish a vibrant downtown identity and brand that never existed before. Later, I transitioned to marketing, branding, and web development agencies, ultimately serving as a Senior Project Manager and Projects Team Lead, overseeing complex creative projects and managing a team of seven.Over the course of my career, I’ve learned that to be successful in project management, you need to be almost obsessive about: -Creating project scopes and goals clearly from the beginning-Communicating as clearly and proactively as possible so team members can focus on what they do best-Addressing unexpected issues head on with strategic problem solving and teamwork.If you love making progress and seeing project visions and goals come to life, let’s connect!
