In 2012 and 2014, WSOY received the Chrystal Award from the NAB for our work in the community and in 2013 and 2015, I received the Marconi award from the NAB for Personality of the Year. Byers & Co. and WSOY have received more than twenty Silver Domes Awards from the Illinois Association of Broadcasters, including Personality of the Year, Best Community Service and Best Broadcast Team. I was honored to be named "Citizen of the Year" for 2013 by Mayor Mike McElroy and The Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce and it is with great pleasure and pride that I served as the Campaign Chair of the 2013 United Way Campaign.
