I practice in a national law firm with 27 offices across the U.S. My practice focuses on representing developers in connection with the development of retail, office, apartment and mixed-use projects. I enjoy working with developers to address the unique set of challenges that each project presents such as entitlements, restrictive covenants, easements, title defects, environmental contamination, leasing, and financing. I represent a broad range of clients including individuals and regional and national developers. I work with other groups within my firm to advise operating companies and non-profit organizations in various industries, including textile, furniture and higher education, regarding real estate matters affecting their operations. I assist operating companies with matters such as leasing, property acquisition, compliance with governmental requirements and real estate secured lending. My lender representation includes private lenders, community banks, regional banks and life insurance companies in connection with mortgage loans secured by income-producing and owner-occupied properties. I also advise lenders regarding collateral remediation matters such as title defects, defective planned community and condominium documents, and foreclosure defects.
