Kincaid Industries is a commercial plumbing, site utility and fire sprinkler contractor in Southern California. I currently work as Purchasing Manager.

My position includes the purchasing and expediting of aerospace aluminum cast house equipment from local and international vendors. My position also includes resource management and warehouse inventory control.

Responsible for the effective day-to-day operation of purchasing and inventory control systems; achieving assigned sourcing, inventory, and production targets, cost goals and operating efficiencies. Manage inventory levels and maintain inventory controls.Interacted with sales department, with responsibility for overseeing purchase order processing, scheduling, and inventory control functions. Handled all material purchasing and vendor price negotiations. Develop and maintain bills-of-material, prints, sourcing catalogs, cost schedules, specification sheets, and other purchasing/engineering documents by means of electronic systems.

Daily tasks include purchasing of spare parts and raw materials, customer service, generating proposals from inquiries, and maintaining relationships with customers worldwide in the metals industry. Responsible for selecting qualified vendors for materials, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Delivered materials on time according to specifications and budget. Other duties include order entry, purchase expediting, preparation of international export shipping documentation and domestic freight handling.

Position included assisting customers over the phone and on the order desk with identification, pricing and availability of industrial parts. Purchasing products from several thousand vendors to maintain competitive pricing and company profit.
