Responsible for the top level financial reporting for the Mayo Arizona location. Successfully led enterprise wide ASC 842 implementation.

Responsible for managing the Enterprise Internal Audit office, providing supervision to Auditors, Senior Auditors and Internal Audit Project Managers in the performance of operational, compliance, financial, integrated and technology reviews of all Mayo Clinic entities. Interact with colleagues within the unit and department, as well as Physicians, Allied Health professionals, administrators, leadership and staff from various divisions and departments throughout Mayo Clinic.

Responsible for managing the Enterprise-wide SOX 404 compliance office, by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, documentation, and recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure including general computer controls.

Responsible for the oversight of general ledger accounting including, month-end close, financial statement preparation and reporting, year-end audit coordination, GAAP research, enterprise employee benefit accounting, capital asset accounting, and accounts receivable reserve accounting for Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

Progressive responsibilities included but not limited to: consulting, planning, implementing and assessing risk for audit engagements; including design of audit programs and financial analysis for clients. Supervised and reviewed staff projects including monitoring budgets and preparing and reviewing financial reports and income tax returns.
