My career has stayed in the Healthcare industry. I have had the opportunity to work in several aspects which have helped me strive for excellence throughout my career. I have spent time in purchasing, customer service, operations manager of distributions as well as helped transfer and retain customers through a merger of two companies.The experiences and understanding I had from a business stand point helped me transfer into sales to the end user without a step back. My understanding how the business side worked of a medical distribution company I understood how I need to approach customers, understood the importance of building and maintaining relationships as well as working to partner with manufacturing companies.The success I had with a regional distribution company as well as a National distribution company led me to the opportunity of being a regional manager of a medical manufacturing company. During this period I had the pleasure of overseeing 8 account managers in my region. I was able to help them grow there business while cultivating net new business with larger companies. I had the opportunity to work large deals where private labeling was involved as well as work with distributor account managers to present my product to the end user. This allowed me to develop pull through sales.During my career there are 2 things that stand out as importance about medical sales. The first is that you must work to know your customers and ensure that you have an open relationship where information flows freely in both direction and the second would be to never loose sight that each product is going to an individual and that individual needs to be the reason you believe in your products and why you are in this industy.
