Led automated testing on Enterprise and E-commerce Marketplace applications across multiple teams.My impact:- collaborated with product and dev teams to create comprehensive automated test plans- wrote resilient end-to-end tests using Cypress, and developed a test harness following the Page Object model to modularize test logic and reduce code duplication- built out monitoring and alerting for tests: created dashboards in Sumo Logic with test data including execution time and fail rate, which allowed the QA team to discover intermittent bugs in the application, trace failures back to a problematic commit, and make other data-driven strategic decisions- established practices such as bug retrospectives and demos within QA to foster collaboration and continuous improvement- generated a test matrix document as a communication link between product, dev, and QA, which enabled all stakeholders to easily understand areas of confidence and risk across the application

Test Frameworks and Tools TeamMy impact:- contributed to various internal tools, including: an npm package and CLI to generate test users, an API to make test users accessible to tests in milliseconds with no additional dependencies, a library for recording and playing back real HTTP requests/responses in tests, and more- and of course, wrote tests for our internal tools, primarily utilizing mocha, chai, sinon for unit tests, supertest for integration tests, and puppeteer for end-to-end tests. Personally led a large-scale refactor of the E2Es in a critical codebase, greatly increasing stability and removing a bottleneck in our CI/CD pipeline- improved standardization across our various repos by adding GitHub PR templates, and developing a automatic release notes tool that ran anytime a new version was built- created alerts and dashboards on our most critical system to quickly notify our team of any performance degradations - took initiative on our technical documentation and knowledge sharing, making our tools more accessible to use and maintain

I contribute to new feature development for the storage components of Data Center Simulator (DCS), a Java application developed using the Spring framework. DCS provides on-demand simulated hardware resources, enabling faster product development, flexible testing, and is used for customer demos. My responsibilities include:- Determining the requirements for new hardware device simulations by gaining an understanding of the device, its interfaces, and the use cases needed by the development and tests teams- Implementing the device simulator, including Rest APIs and a command line interface- Testing new features and validating the integration with the product we are supporting- Demoing the functionality of my completed features to an audience of end usersAccomplishments:- Contributed to the development of a new network switch simulation, which included redesigning internal components to share functionality between an existing management interface- Had complete ownership over the zoning component of the switch simulation- Developed features for the simulation of a new storage array

As a member of the end-to-end test team, I was able to have a significant positive impact on the quality of the storage components of HPE OneView, a data center infrastructure management application. My primary responsibility was to develop automated tests in python, utilizing the ReST API of OneView as well as various storage, network, and server management interfaces. I would execute these automated tests, analyze test results, and open detailed defects that led to product changes. Additionally, I consistently found ways to improve the team's effectiveness, including leading a redesign of our internal test framework, developing tools for building the required test environment, enhancing the test engine's logging with additional configuration options, and advocating for a process to improve test failure triage. I was able to excel in a globally distributed team with my communication skills and volunteered to train several new team members.
