Full management responsibility, including Operations, Business Development and profitability for one of the largest sites within the O-I Manufacturing Group.Key responsibilities:- Management of site including 600 staff within a unionised environment with one of the highest production outputs within Europe- Allocation and management of 7 figure annual budget- Identifying, developing and directing the implementation of business strategy- Management of profit and manufacturing performance- Working with commercial and government stakeholders- Managing and maintaining key account relationships with a focus on Operations and Procurement contactsKey achievements:- Increased Operational performance including increased annual output- Maintained profitability against a background of increasing manufacturing costs including energy and raw materials- Stable, skilled workforce with below average turnover- Designed, implemented and developed successful graduate training scheme, enhancing workforce within wider Group- Secured a three year capital investment plan- Worked in partnership with Scottish Enterprise and secured two Regional Selective Assistance grants totalling £5.1m- Implemented a new management operational structure and introduced a new shift pattern through negotiations with trade union bodies- Received various national industry body awards for safety and innovation- Developed and delivered a strategic quality improvement plan securing a significant site investment - Embedded a cultural change with a focus on health and safety resulting in an excellent safety record
