Sport is a very powerful tool which educates people and has an ability to bring about positive change. As a sports administrator, I have proven experience in the delivery and management of high performance, coaching, participation development, innovation and leadership in Rugby League, having served in a wide range of roles across the game over many years. I’m passionate about working with people -both staff and participants - at all levels and age groups. Gathering knowledge, assisting people to grow and develop and strategic planning are my key focus areas of engagement. My approach is one of understanding issues and challenges, identifying best practice and strategic problem solving in order to arrive at organisational improvement and sustained successful performance. I enjoy working with and leading diverse cross-functional teams and building relationships and partnerships in the design and implementation of programs. Team work, personal and professional development and engagement of staff are central to my approach which provides direction and support to enable progress and change.Possessing a strong understanding of all levels of the Game and a strategic and culture development mind-set has helped me improve organisational performance. In the wide array of roles in the Game that I have been engaged in, each has taught me more about the sport, continued the development of my skills and highlighted the value of people and their contributions. Taking responsibility and accountability are central to my work, and gaining a sense of achievement and fulfilment are foremost.“Sport has the power to change the world, the power to inspire, the power to unite people in a way that little else can. It speaks to people in a language they understand” (Nelson Mandela)
