Design Researcher / Sound DesignerWorld Building Media Lab May 2017 - PresentUsc, School Of Cinematic ArtsFor the World Building Media Lab's collaborative scientific visualization project, World in a Cell, I worked during previz as the primary design researcher and during production as sound designer. This project was undertaken in collaboration with scientists from Ray Steven's lab in the Keck School of Medicine at USC. The aim was to construct a virtual city in VR, governed by the rules and relative scale relationships in the pancreatic beta cell, which would provide scientists an immersive experience and alternative perspective of the functions and interacting systems of the cell. My latest work on this project has been to design and implement procedural audio in VR that sonifies protein data.
