Specialty Branch Recruiter (Jag, Amedd, Chaplain)
CurrentThe Specialty Branch Strength Manager serves as the primary AMEDD, Chaplain, JAG recruiter and retainer for the State. Establishes liaison with colleges, universities, and units of the AZ ARNG. Coordinates with respective Branch Chiefs in order to develop Specialty Branch officer procurement priorities. Identifies and interviews potential candidates for the Specialty Corps and forwards the information to the OSM. Conducts briefings and provide information on processes and benefits of AMEDD programs. Identifies unit officer vacancies and develops recruiting plans to fill them. Develops resource requirements to support Specialty Branch Officer Recruiting operations and identifies recruiting events to participate in. Assists in developing and implementing of the Specialty Branch Procurement program. Provides weekly, monthly and quarterly status reports to OSM on activities and the results of those activities. Serves as an Officer Recruiter for all Specialty Branch Officer Positions within the State. Develops an annual Specialty Branch Officer Strength Maintenance Plan to achieve Officer Accession Mission. Actively recruit qualified AMEDD, Chaplain, JAG Officers assigned to the IRR, to include all military services. Become familiar with the Direct Commission Accession Web base program, utilized to process AMEDD Packets. Prospect for leads by conducting phone calls, doing mail-outs, and performing site visits to the various medical and law schools within the state. Process applicant packets in a timely manner. Present a positive image of the Army National Guard to prospective officer recruits. Performs other duties as assigned.
