The Specialty Branch Strength Manager serves as the primary AMEDD, Chaplain, JAG recruiter and retainer for the State. Establishes liaison with colleges, universities, and units of the AZ ARNG. Coordinates with respective Branch Chiefs in order to develop Specialty Branch officer procurement priorities. Identifies and interviews potential candidates for the Specialty Corps and forwards the information to the OSM. Conducts briefings and provide information on processes and benefits of AMEDD programs. Identifies unit officer vacancies and develops recruiting plans to fill them. Develops resource requirements to support Specialty Branch Officer Recruiting operations and identifies recruiting events to participate in. Assists in developing and implementing of the Specialty Branch Procurement program. Provides weekly, monthly and quarterly status reports to OSM on activities and the results of those activities. Serves as an Officer Recruiter for all Specialty Branch Officer Positions within the State. Develops an annual Specialty Branch Officer Strength Maintenance Plan to achieve Officer Accession Mission. Actively recruit qualified AMEDD, Chaplain, JAG Officers assigned to the IRR, to include all military services. Become familiar with the Direct Commission Accession Web base program, utilized to process AMEDD Packets. Prospect for leads by conducting phone calls, doing mail-outs, and performing site visits to the various medical and law schools within the state. Process applicant packets in a timely manner. Present a positive image of the Army National Guard to prospective officer recruits. Performs other duties as assigned.

The primary function of the Inter-State Transfer (IST) & In-Service Recruiting (ISR) Coordinator is to ensure the successful transition of Army National Guard Soldiers between States and coordinate the accession of active duty Soldiers into the ARNG. Duties are as follows:a. Follow applicable State and federal regulatory guidance and current policies to determine the enlistment and incentive eligibility of Soldiers desiring intra-State transfer, inter-State transfer (IST) or in-service enlistment.b. Identify and contact the new unit of assignment for all Soldiers desiring an IST or in-service enlistment and obtain the name and phone number of a sponsor.c. Coordinate with and maintain contact, as applicable, between gaining and losing State IST/ISR, the Reserve Component Career Counselor (RCCC), and the national IST/ISR help desk to ensure the successful completion of all transfers and in-service enlistments.d. Prepare and conduct briefings to units and installations to streamline and improve the IST/ISR.e. Prepare and process AARs, information papers, production reports and other correspondence as required and make recommendatoins to the RRC to improve IST/ISR processes.f. Submit IST worksheets and documents through IPPS-A / RMS for both incoming and outgoing ISTs.g. Monitor and update the REQUEST System for the ARNG on a daily basis paying specific attention to the manage unit vacancies functionality, to include maintaining unit information and unit POC. Ensure current and accurate vacant positions are posted within the REQUEST system using AUVS.

Responsible for all administrative and logistical actions, audits of RSP training records, and updates of VULCAN / GCRc records daily. Designated as the Safety Officer for the RSP. Coordinates and conducts all RSP Training/Coordination meetings. Directly supervises full time unit support. Acts as the liaison officer to the Recruiting and Retention Sergeants Major to ensure Recruiters maintain continuity with Trainees from time of enlistment through Gold Phase / Battle Hand-Off. Facilitates weekly conference calls, at-risk, 90-120 day shippers, 10 month no BCT, 18 month no -MOSQ. Ensures monthly RSP After Action Reports (AAR) from each company are completed and submitted and initiates corrective action based upon AAR comments. Responsible for near-term planning (120 days and in) and Shipper activities. Manages the RSP Battle Rhythm in accordance with local guidance. Ensures all Soldiers meet Direct Ship qualifications prior to shipping to IADT.
