As a Operational Support Manager reporting to the Regional Manager and Account Director I am responsible for supporting the HMCTS manned guarding and security strategy across London. Covering 60 sites and 380 security officers. Delivering training, strategic security plans and internal investigations.• Recruitment, interview, vetting, training, support and discipline of security officers.• Managing contract specific costs including provision of security equipment and wage variable control.• Delivering manning levels of 98% against a target of 97%.• Managing portfolio HR, Payroll and annual leave.• Managing resource to risk ensuring courts hosting high profile cases had adequate cover to deal with the increased security risk.• Developing and implementing robust security policy to prevent and detect security threats to HMCTS property, staff and users.• Based at Westminster Magistrates Court overseeing day to day running of the site.• Development and implementation of contingency and emergency plans.• Management of control room building life systems.• Annual security officer appraisals, implementation of robust performance measures and regular KPI assessments.• Liaising and maintaining relationships with local police and other agencies.

As a Court Security Officer reporting to the Regional Manager, I was responsible for supporting the HMCTS security policy and the Court Law Act 2003.• Robust Security searches in accordance with HMCTS policy and the Court Law Act 2003.• Key holding including unlock, lockup and out of hours alarm response.• Access and egress control, CCTV monitoring and car park control.• Regular patrols and incident reporting.• Regular system testing on all emergency and search equipment including fire alarms and panic alarms.• Reporting of any health & safety, and maintenance issues.• Utilised as Duty Supervisor/Manager at a number of courts.• Assisted the Regional Manager in recruitment, induction and training of new officers in the South East.
