Strategic product planning (base engine & fuel system selection, target market selection, voice of customer evaluation); 2. Complete engine development program management;3. Direction and leadership on design process documentation (VoC, DVP&R, FMEA, PPAP, etc);4. Emissions catalyst evaluation, selection & testing;5. Stakeholder interface (EPA, UL, CSA, Government entities…);6. Product demonstration deployment and commercialization;7. For OEM clients – support and direction on engine selection, fuelling strategies, cost benefit analysis. Also available to lead/guide engine or vehicle OEMs or fuel system integrators through the emissions certification process for EPA and CARB. This includes alternative fuel system conversions and hybrid systems integration.

Westport is a world leader in developing fuelling and engine control technologies for utilizing natural gas, hydrogen and other gaseous fuels to replace diesel and gasoline fuel for on-road, industrial and power generation applications.• Reporting to the Executive Vice President and as a member of the senior leadership team, led the industrial engine business unit at Westport which designs, develops and markets industrial LPG/CNG engines to global OEMs involved in oil & gas, power generation, material handling and construction applications. Directed the sale and distribution of over 10,000 engines worldwide.• With full P&L accountability, directed the overall industrial business including global business development & sales, product development & improvement, aftermarket service support, budget, cost control.• Within the above role, had the responsibility to build, lead and mentor a highly effective team of engineers and technicians. This resulted in the development and production of a best-in-class product with industry leading fuel efficiency, reliability and durability.• Managed the design, installation, permitting and commissioning of an automotive LNG fuelling station for a truck fleet demonstration in Ontario. This experience was leveraged to create an LNG supply and distribution business model as a market driver for Westport’s alternative fuel technologies in Asia.• Managed the development, installation and operation of on-site power generation demonstration projects. The scope included packaging and utility grid connection for the 1.6 MW continuous duty generator sets, converted to run on Westport’s gaseous fuel systems. All projects were on time, on budget and overall successful.

• Performed various engineering and project management duties with Stone & Webster, a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting company, over a 10 year period, including two years living in Jakarta, Indonesia, representing Stone & Webster in a consortium which was providing design and procurement services for the construction of a large coal-fired thermal power plant and a combined-cycle generating plant.• Held various project management roles in the upgrade of BC Hydro’s Burrard Thermal plant in Port Moody, BC. This included the addition of an emissions SCR system, replacement of high-pressure steam piping and feed-water heaters and various boiler upgrades.
