Analyzed and resolved quality and non-conformance issues and followed up with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Investigated and resolved non-conformance issues and customer complaints regarding quality; provided communication to customers; maintained appropriate records; determined the disposition of hold items; and established acceptable quality levels. Coordinated objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Assisted in the implementation of GMP and facility audits from 3rd party sources. Lead the quality department team on process improvement of products; established process parameters and dimensional specifications and performed mold validations. Prepared reports for production and management meetings. Made customer and vendor visits as required to assist customers and vendors with potential quality issues. Monitored and maintained data collection systems and testing procedures to ensure consistent and continuous control over the quality assurance process. Many other miscellaneous duties were involved with the management team concerning daily decisions for the plant overall.

Conducted various quality-related testing including production line checks on preforms and plastic bottles. Use of calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, bottle sealing machine, and lift force testing. Often times interacting and communicating with operators, technicians, and management to resolve any issue regarding quality.

Inspected bottles for defects, packaged bottles, managed minor downstream issues, moved corrugate around as needed (stacking boxes), applied labels/stickers, managed robot cells as needed, and minor cleaning of the production area.

Commercial insurance premium auditor for workers compensation and general liability policies. Surveyed policy holder’s financial statements and job descriptions by physical inspection at the business location. Determined worker classifications for each employee and audited payroll amounts. Also inspected and confirmed gross revenues and other factors that determine commercial insurance premiums.

I learned a great deal about commercial lines insurance during my time at FSIA. I really enjoyed getting to know our clients and how to best help them with insurance. I also learned how to market new business and renewals by getting to know the various markets available to us and where to place business. I learned how to organize my tasks by using the AMS360 management system. I assisted producers in getting paperwork completed, updating policies, marketing quotes, cross selling, re-marketing and servicing the customer with claims, audits, certificates, coverage changes, etc. Developing consultative relationships was the best part about my job at FSIA. I regularly assisted in the sales process when needed and have also sold several new commercial accounts on my own.

I was successfully elected six times for this position by the people of Hermann, MO. I learned to develop relationships through leadership experiences with the Board of Aldermen. My experiences included making decisions with citizen input and expert advice. I also enhanced my diplomatic skills when dealing with conflicting interests among citizens, local business owners and 3rd party experts.This was a great learning experience for me on many levels.

This was a customer service/insurance sales position for Curtis Boyer – American Family Insurance Agent. I serviced current clients through regular policy reviews and I increased business by cross selling to clients. I also prospected for new customers on my own and through leads bought by the agency. I led a Life Insurance campaign to convert current term policies into whole life policies. The success of that campaign catapulted the agency to the #2 spot in the state of Missouri for new Life Insurance production in 2009. I was capable of running the entire agency; including daily service tasks, filing claims, claims follow-up, taking in payments, generating new sales, managing staff and communicating with the district manager regarding the goals of the agency. I ran the agency for Curtis when he traveled out of town.

As Sales Director, I was responsible for all revenue for this groundbreaking rural online-only news organization in Hermann, MO. Within one year of taking over sales, the revenues had tripled and we took on two new salespeople. I developed many non-traditional marketing campaigns for local rural businesses, including “Groupon” style daily deals, broadcasting live high school sports online, and creating TV-style commercials for our online audience. Many local businesses benefited from the incremental sales and additional customer activity with their brands. I was successful selling in a very competitive environment against traditional print ads and newspaper promotions. Overall, my time with CNL was a tremendous experience in consulting with local business owners about their marketing budgets and helping them go outside their comfort zone successfully.

I developed relationships with business owners and decision makers to utilize Payroll Marketing for the sale of supplemental insurance policies to their employees. It involved a lot of cold calling and networking of business relationships all over Missouri. I learned a lot about cold calling and how important business relationships can be to one’s success. I earned a Fast Start Bonus for production in my first 6 weeks.
