Deputy Sheriff
CurrentPrevious Roles: Deputy of Traffic Safety, Task Force Office, Operator/Breacher: Tactical Response Team, Recovery Diver, Drone Pilot• Proactively patrol residential and business districts to deter criminal activity, and generally be seen by the public. • Respond to wide variety of calls for service and resolve those calls to the best of abilities. • Follow and enforced state laws, and the department policy/procedure manual. • Set an example for junior co-workers provided both personally and professionally. • Attended numerous trainings, the majority of which have been in some facet of law enforcement. • Instructed trainings for defensive tactics, and live fire shoot house to ensure employee safety.• Work in shifts, known as teams, and we all work together to help each other when necessary. • Specialty Teams: (Dive/Recovery team, SWAT team, Traffic investigation team, Narcotics Investigation team, and most currently the Drone team). • Managed the Narcotics task force position made up of officers and troopers from various agencies within the county, worked with other teams from time to time when needed/requested. • Arranged for equipment to be provided for test and evaluation purposes to determine if we would purchase this equipment. • Utilized for aerial photography of crash and crime scenes and locating missing persons and/or suspects in hiding.
