My position with Global Security Management Agency is as a Maritime Security Officer onboard the Sea Based X-Band radar (SBX-1), a 1.5 Billion dollar Missile Defense Agency SSL-A asset that is a component of the ground-based midcourse defense element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System. I maintain a Level 1 Anti-terrorism Certification and performed in all facets of security, including physical security against terrorist and piracy threats of the ship, maintaining a roving armed patrol, verifying credentials of persons embarking the vessel, cargo and freight inspections and surveillance of the Integrated Electronic Security System/CCure. Along with being proficient with the use of Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD), I also maintained proficiency and performed regular maintenance of weapons systems on board that included the M-4, M-9, M-240 and the M2-HB.

Salary: 60,000.00 USD Per YearHours per week: 40; Responsible for coordination of operations in support of Operation Vigilant Mariner. Providing Force Protection to high value assets in the Persian Gulf, Horn of Africa and Eastern Mediterranean areas. Worked in all areas of anti-piracy operations which included vessel search and seizure, detainee operations, working with International Coalition forces in establishing policies and procedures for the protection of ships, personnel and forward operating bases in the 5th Fleet Area of Responsibility. Established Commander Task Group 56.11 Tactical Operations Center that included the installation of classified and non classified communications systems, establishing standing orders and policies that are internationally recognized as standard operating procedures for reporting, tracking and coordinating efforts to minimize and provide guidelines for the handling of Anti-piracy operations. Graduate of the Combat Skills course - perform basic first aid, land navigation, firearm safety, accomplishment of high-risk security operations; how to identify and safely handle counter-improvised explosive devices; perform basic movement while engaging targets and exercising judgement-based engagement training; chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear testing.

Responsible for curriculum development, course review, and testing. Certified Master Training Specialist – mentored & trained 25 sailors resulting in successful attainment of job essential qualifications.

Salary: 55,000.00 USD Per YearHours per week: 40; As a Landing Craft, Air Cushioned (LCAC) Navigator while at Assault Craft Unit Four, responsible for the safe, high speed navigation of the Navy's assault hovercraft. Additional responsibilities included mission planning, communications and maintenance of craft. Deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and subsequently deployed in support of operations in the Persian Gulf for maritime interdiction operations. Also deployed in support of a multi -national training operation in the Baltic region. Served as Detachment Communication Security Manager, responsible for all classified material inventories and security.

Salary: 50,000.00 USD Per YearHours per week: 40; Served as an instructor at Fleet Combat Training Center Atlantic; taught the MK-23 Target Acquisition System operator course. Assisted in development, testing and implementation of the operator course which taught students the proper operation of the Navy's most advanced Missile and Air Craft defense system. Expertly applied instructional methodologies in classroom and laboratory learning sites resulted in the graduation of over 120 students. Taught Radar Navigation Team Trainer course; responsible for training navigation teams from various ships on the proper procedures for safe navigation of waters worldwide. Course of instruction included both classroom instruction and laboratory testing of student’s abilities to perform as a navigation team. Additional responsibilities included member of Base Security Force; conducted patrols, investigations, apprehension and arrest of individuals. Completed U.S. Department of Transportation Emergency Vehicle Operators course - operated patrol vehicles, ambulances and fire trucks. Completed Auxiliary Security Force Training Academy – trained in small unit extraction tactics, search and seizure, small arms qualifications and first responder first aid.
