Contracted by FMC ( http://www.fmc.com/ )through Towlift to oversee the operation and maintenance of FMC’s self-guided vehicles (SGVs), or automated assembly line parts delivery forklifts, throughout the body and panel section of the Daimler/Chrysler Toledo North Assembly Plant. Position included monitoring up to twenty individual machines on a computer map which displayed real-time movement as well as unit disposition, responding to faulted SVGs on the plant floor to reset or repair them in a time critical fashion so as not to slow or stop the main assembly line. Also responsible for major service issues which included vehicle disassembly, component replacement, and repair.

This included assistance with setup, programming, troubleshooting, tear down, and repair of robots and related peripheral devices and systems. Also traveled to customer sites to install robots and to monitor them during the initial start-up and debug period.
