Brian J. Connors is a distinguished leader at Lenovo, where he spearheads the company's Enterprise Infrastructure and Commercial segment. He previously held the position of Global VP & GM Software & Business Development, managing Lenovo’s software strategic partners with major industry players including SAP, Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware, and Nutanix. He oversaw a broad ecosystem of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and was responsible for global business development and strategic partnerships within Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG). His efforts were instrumental in guiding Lenovo’s strategy towards software-defined environments and new consumption models.Brian’s career began at IBM, where he served in several executive roles, including Vice President of x86 Systems, Vice President of Intellectual Property, Vice President of Game Processors, and Vice President of Power Linux Servers. His journey in the tech industry started as an electrical engineer at IBM.Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. A newly formed Joint Venture between Lenovo and NetApp. At present I also sit on the board of an Israeli venture backed company that focuses on Cloud managed infrastructure. In the current position I have successfully created and negotiated a China Joint Venture that has now been in successful operation for over one year. I am a passionate corporate entrepreneur and I have spearheaded many new business ventures and initiatives at both Lenovo and IBM. Prior to leading x86 development for both companies, I was vice president of the HPC business for IBM, a role that spanned both Power and x86 technologies and that lead to the transformation of our HPC business through focused leadership and SW company acquisitions.
