Managed a team of high-powered engineers that developed the control system architecture and algorithms, authored the software requirements, performed the SW validation testing, and completed the system performance testing and analysis. Noteworthy improvements included the image-based control system for automated correction of streaks and cross-process non-uniformities, introduction of ILS-based TRC linearization to improve machine color stability, and implementation of substantial changes to the xerographic control system to expand system latitude. Served as primary interface between xerographic team and system SW for planning and prioritization. Provided engineering support to worldwide service force from early product development up through successful program launch. Maintained schedule to achieve original program launch date.

Responsible for improving overall image quality on iGen3. Managed a team of system engineers working to understand and eliminate the root causes of halftone non-uniformities. Coordinated activities between development and research organizations to define, prioritize, and execute a comprehensive improvement strategy. Interfaced with process integration, process controls, electro-mechanical subsystems, and halftone design teams to develop and implement desired changes. Spearheaded the efforts to introduce new image-based control technology into the award-winning next generation iGen4 machine, managing the product development activities for Technology Demonstration, Technology Readiness and launch implementation.

When iGen3 was first launched worldwide, a team of specialists was created to help ensure early machine installations were successful while also providing engineering feedback to the design teams for continuous improvement. We applied our detailed knowledge of system operation to quickly address any issue that arose with the early machines running at customer sites. I was fortunate enough to have been assigned to a continuous three month stay in Paris, France to support the first installations in that region.
