Managed the staff's collections efforts in order to reduce aged outstanding balances on assigned accounts by over 20% on a yearly basis.Effectively managed the unit's cash application issues, funding and bad debts, and ensured that goals and requirements were achieved.Spearheaded the closed claim project for the Client Support Services Department. The coordination of this project resulted in the closure of over 15,000 claims.Managed the process of inputting over 95% of the team's contracts into the new mainframe system and ensured that required amendments to the contracts were completed prior to the conversion process.Special collections liaison for AIG and secured payment of approximately $1,700,000 from Swiss Re prior to 2008 year end, thus enabling AIG to reduce the penalty to their surplus. Managed outstanding balance issues, which totaled $38 million for several clients, and communicated issues to appropriate personnel. Managed the status of the outstanding balances due on the Hurricane Katrina and World Trade Center claims, in order to ensure timely collection of billed balances from Reinsurers. The team was responsible for collecting over $850 million for AIG on the Hurricane Katrina claim. Evaluated the Client Support Services Department Work Condition Report for management on a weekly basis. This tool was utilized by management in order to avoid Errors & Omissions exposures.Assisted senior management with issues pertaining to: mainframe installation and enhancements, client and Reinsurer dilemmas, budgetary analysis pertaining to salary administration, Travel and Entertainment, and staff job description requirements.
