About Brian Corley

Brian Corley is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Single Story, Inc. He previously served as Head of School at Near North Montessori in Chicago and the Middle School Head at The Roeper School, in Birmingham, Michigan. Since 2015, Brian has served as a National SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) Facilitator Trainer. He completed a full term as a member of the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) Equity and Justice Committee which is the governing organization over 240 independent schools in 14 states. He now serves as the committee's Chair. Brian has trained hundreds of diversity practitioners in self-directed diversity seminars that they have taken back to their organizations to increase awareness, build cultural competency, and influence positive change. Additionally, he advises boards and organizational leaders in diversity strategic planning, while also participating in the writing and execution of diversity policies that guide organizations toward more inclusive practices.Brian has been a Diversity Practitioner since 2010 and currently works with public and independent schools, universities, not-for-profits, and for-profit organizations in the midwest. He graduated from Cranbrook Kingswood Schools in Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in Kinesiology and a Masters in Administration from Northwestern University. He has been married for 14 years to Dr. Kellie Corley.
