Manage the Galway Depot to the highest standards in terms of stock Control and Good housekeeping and ensure the smooth operation of the distribution department.Assign drivers to routes and ensure cross training is actively upheld to allow for annual leave requirements.Debrief the drivers daily on completion of routes and provide information to Customer Services and Production.To effectively manage the drivers and routes in conjunction with the Head of LogisticsEnsure all drivers complete the required functionality on mobile devices for routes and customer information data in full.Ensure the vehicles are maintained to the highest standards in association with the maintenance contractors and to maintain the legislative requirements for both vehicles and drivers are fully upheld i.e. D.O.E’s, Tax, Licences, etc.Ensure stock is managed and maintained to the correct levels on customer premises as per the route sheets.Ensure route reviews are commonly undertaken to ensure cost effectiveness and capacity for new business and participate in the company policy of Improving Customer Services.Provide Daily / Weekly reports as necessary to the Head of Logistics.Knowledge of the company’s ERP and OMD computer systems in regard to distribution requirements.Ensure compliance with all relevant Quality Systems operated within the plant.

Knocknacarra, Tuam, Athenry

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of one of our busy stores.• Manage, motivate, develop and inspire a team of up to 40 staff.• Customer service focused and lead by example• Monitor and control staff costs, store productivity, inventory differences, write-offs and running costs alongside KPIs.• Ensure full availability across the entire product assortment.• Structuring and organising day to day duties and dealing with unforeseen challenges andtasks that need to be addressed.• Maximising profitability and meeting sales targets in particular over busy periods.• Develop business strategies to raise customer numbers, expand store traffic and optimise profitability

Driving and maximising the sales and profitability of the store to achieve growth.Driving sales through maximising team performance.Supervising and appraising staff.Organising, preparing and arranging promotional materials and display.Ensuring store is commercially viable.Taking the time to coach colleagues by example every day, on and off the shop floor. Responding to customer complaints and comments.Responsible for occasionally opening the station and regularly securing the station at night. Responsible for stock control/merchandising, grocery, frozen and dairy.Extra responsibility when manager is away on 6 week leave including control of store, stock of cash, cigarette machine and ATM in store.
