Have spent all my working years in the horticultural industry, began training in public parks before further experience in botanical gardens. After a supervisor role in a private garden have now spent thirteen years in a management role as head gardener of Scone Palace, Perth, working on various projects reviving a 220 year-old walled garden to conserving the trees of the designed landscape that surrounds this historic house.I’m also lucky to be a presenter on the BBC television programme ‘The Beechgrove Garden’ and write a weekend gardening column for the readers of The Courier and Press & Journal. I like to help promote all that is great about the Scottish horticultural industry and as Patron of Trellis Scotland look forward to supporting in anyway I can the incredible work the team do to promote therapeutic gardening.Looking forward to achieving so much more.
