Brian designed and developed Indi.com’s core backend and frontend, leading and mentoring both internal and external teams.

DecisionStep was acquired by Rakuten in December of 2010. Rakuten is the largest ecommerce company in Japan, and a leading technology company worldwide, providing a variety of consumer and business-focused services including e-commerce, mobile telecom, travel, banking, securities, entertainment, marketing, e-reading and professional sports. Brian led the global integration of the company's ShopTogether social shopping technology.

As co-founder and technology lead for DecisionStep, Brian built leading solutions for facilitating online consumer purchase decisions. The company’s interactive shopping applications have been used by top retailers, manufacturers and financial service providers to support the education, exploration and evaluation stages of the consumer decision-making process. The company's patented ShopTogether social shopping technology enables online customers to share synchronized shopping sessions with friends, family resulting in higher customer satisfaction and increased sales. DecisionStep was acquired by Rakuten in 2010.

Part of the core team responsible for transitioning the company's health care data products from desktop to Internet for thousands of hospital and health system clients.
