As is often the case for me I am fortunate to have a number of different things on the the go to keep my interest up! My work on Sports stadiums continues on the PErth Rectangular Stadium. If you go take a look now you will see a lot of construction activity from the Stage 1 development. The State Netball Centre was approved recently and will move into construcvtion mode shortly having gone through the DAP. I had interesting experiences of the DAP's both as the Deputy Presiding Member of the City of Perth DAP, as well as an applicant! I am also involved in Activity Centre Planning at Whitfords, and a large development project for anew hotel on theTerrace!! Looking forward to another diverse and interesting year in 2013!!I have just returned from being invited to do a presentation at the Town Centre Revitalisation Conference in Esperance sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, Shire of Esperance, Goldfields Esperance Development Commission, Landcorp, and Dept of Regional Government and Lands. Excellent conference, great speakers and delightful people looking to empower the community to make some positive changes!

Having actively developed the Urban Growth Management framework for Perth and Peel I argued strongly that implementing the activity centre and corridor approach required more than reactive planning. I pushed for local government incentives, funding support, and active project interventions. I wanted the urban design group integrated with the major projects team. SO. they made me Director of Revitalisation and Urban Design!!

As Director of Future Perth I was responsible for the development of the metropolitan plan for Perth and Peel.

As Acting Director of Strategic Planning I was responsible for strategic planning for WA. This included the coordination of various regional and sub-regional planning strategies.
