Prior to becoming an attorney, I was a documentary filmmaker and producer of interactive media. I produced and directed Ecological Design: Inventing the Future, a film about designing a sustainable future which features the work of R. Buckminster Fuller and other visionary designers, many of whom are from the Bay area. The film was honored at the Sundance Film Festival, San Francisco International Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, Columbus International Film and Video Festival, and Pretoria Environmental Film Festival, and won the CINE Golden Eagle Award. I also produced and directed Objects and Memory, a film memorializing the World Trade Center tragedy and N is for Nuclear, a film about children's responses to Nuclear threat and other documentary films.I also was cinematographer for the Oscar winning documentary Bowling for Columbine, the Oscar nominated film Sound and Fury, and Emmy Award winner TV Nation, among many others.In 2003, I decided to apply my advocacy skills to the legal profession.
