I oversee a group of network based Avid non-linear video editing and archive systems. I maintain the integrity of the system, workflows and training of operators. It’s my responsibility to make certain the company's standard operating procedures are followed and everything runs efficiently. Other responsibilities include being a liaison between individual department needs and IT & Engineering, where I work hand in hand on a daily basis to troubleshoot, maintain and test current equipment along with the deployment of needed upgrades. In addition to the above, I handle department needs for video and audio content for in-house use as well as external client needs and requests. On a daily basis I support our live event broadcast needs and special requests for the Philadelphia Flyers, Sixers, and Phillies, as well as local collegiate teams. I have developed complete workflows along with standards and practices for our Digital Media group and continue to support their work on a daily basis. I provide continued support for each departmental entity, and the network as a whole, by designing, evaluating, and documenting new and or improved workflows for all departments with regards to video media content. I maintain the media management aspect of our FTP site from media creation through transcoding and finally importing/exporting media.
