Outdoor EducatorCispus Learning Center Jan 1991 - Jul 1992I was hired to Manage the schools Outdoor Challange Course which served Educational institutions and businesses in the Pacific Northwest. I managed a staff of over 70 volunteers. We conducted Training and Certification programs for staff and students. We delivered Leadership training, Team Building and Confidence Coaching to our clients in a safe environment of "Perceived Risk". While in this roll I helped establish and chaired the Northwest Challenge Course Professionals Group within the Association of Experiential Educators. This group came together to discuss industry trends as well as to help establish standards for the safe operation of Challenge Course facilities. While working at Cispus, the school installed a Novell 3.11 Network and since I was the only one who was familiar with PCs I got the Red books to read. Thus a computer engineer was born.
