-Over 25 years of specialized environmental remediation experience with numerous clients-Has held key positions on environmental projects where he has been involved in transitioning projects from investigation to remediation phases-Experienced in remediation system design, construction, operation, including: automated systems operation, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems-Works with engineers, geologists, and project managers to coordinate remedial approaches with strong project involvement throughout implementation of bench-scale, pilot-scale, and full-scale design phases-In-depth knowledge of innovative remedial technologies, including: in-situ chemical oxidation, soil vapor extraction, dual-phase extraction, thermal enhanced dual-phase extraction, ion exchange, bioremediation, bioventing, barrier walls, free product recovery, natural attenuation-Extensive experience with field activities and investigations, including: drilling, aquifer testing, test pit and trenching excavations, feasibility studies, lead-based paint (LBP) surveys, vapor intrusion studies, transportation and disposal, site restoration, landfill gas monitoring-Extensive experience with multi-media sampling (water, soil, air), field sampling coordination planning/implementation, sub-slab vapor intrusion sampling, and equipment operation/calibration -Experienced at working with all California state regulatory agencies including the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), and U.S. EPA Region 9-Familiar with protected animal habitat challenges encountered during project activities including: California Least Tern, Western Burrowing Owl and Western Pond Turtle habitats-Familiar with CERCLA assessment and cleanup process
