Managed the 24/7 maintenance teams for the crystal growth area for the materials division at Wolfspeed. Implemented key performance metrics and a daily dashboard to direct the teams' activities so that they were aligned with operational needs. Grew the team to ensure proper tech to tool ratio that resulted in higher tool availability and a reduction in MTTR. Added a technical writer to the team to transform operational procedures from simple overview/checklist formats to full visual and detailed work instruction to standardize the work performed. This resulted in predictable time to repair and higher quality of work through standards and senior technician reviews and double checks of work. Managed the team of electrical and mechanical technicians that were responsible for all the custom tool build in the crystal growth area. Led the initiative to fully document the entire process that was previously done through on the job training and knowledge was verbally transferred from technician to technician. This resulted in an increase in output from the team and with the use of standard processes and training there was a reduction in the variability of the tools performance during qualification. Managed the controls engineering team that was responsible for sustaining and continuous improvement of the custom control software used on the custom tools used in the crystal growth area. Implemented source control for both the PC GUI and the PLC control software. Led the transition to updated PLC hardware and implementation of hardware-based safety controls.

Data was stored in a central SQL data base and applications were developed that allowed for analysis of test and performance data. • Promoted development engineer while working in the vision test group.
