I am a recent transplant into the energy industry. My job allows me significant freedom as well as the satisfaction that I am a piece of the puzzle that provides power to the area. Prior to my new career at Sikeston Power Station I worked 12+ years in the Public Safety Industry. I began as a Police Officer/Firefighter. After a few years I became a training officer. I was selected to join the Bomb Squad and gained specialized knowledge and training from the FBI Hazardous Devices School where I became a certified Hazardous Devices Technician (EOD Technician). I was eventually promoted to Sergeant where I supervised shifts in patrol and fire divisions. I also worked on several federal grants and did budget preparation.
