Therapy is a special relationship affecting change to realize personal goals. My passion is to assist people in developing meaningful, agreed upon goals to realize the needs of those engaged in the therapeutic relationship. I work with children, adolescents, adults of all ages, and families to improve the quality of their lives.I specialize in Depression/ Mood Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Phobias, Adjustment Disorders, ADHD/ ADD, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Trauma Recovery, Anger Management, Oppositional Defiant Disorder/ Behavioral Issues, Family Systems and Functioning, and Grief and Loss issues. I have been practicing for more than 20 years as a counselor working with severely emotionally and behaviorally disturbed adolescents, families, and adults. I have presented professionally on such topics as clinical assessments, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and the effects of trauma on brain development, as well as many other professional topics. I have received extensive training in DBT (Intensive Training plus additional trainings); TF-CBT; CBT; EMDR and Behavior Therapy. I am a DBT Trained Therapist; TF-CBT Trained Therapist and an EMDR Trained Therapist.My mission is to help people achieve personal goals toward a life worth living.
