Responsible for leading and developing a team of Design, Planning and NPI Engineers in the delivery of robust processes and systems with the objective of building long term customer relationships and to engage with their future requirements. To develop designs against agreed scopes improving margins and maintaining robust NPI/Planning and Design processes which underpin the business objectives; as a senior manager deliver KPI’s. Managed multiple projects simultaneously from £500K up to £4.5M.As with other projects agreed initial concept with Costa Coffee to manufacture next generation Coffee Vending concessions which returned an annual turnover of £4.5M. Established and compiled Statement of Requirements and formulated project plan. This became the backbone of the project life-cycle.Main interface contact between the Customer and Design to ensure that inevitable changes in scope were assessed for impact.Assigned and prioritised team of designers and engineers in accordance with project plan milestones. Held regular review meetings with both the project team and stakeholders to confirm costings were aligned with initial outlined estimates. Compiled Outstanding Issues List (OIL) this was a prioritised action plan which pulled together e-mails and other key factors that needed to be addressed to meet agreed project scope and timescales, this was used to steer the design review meetings.When faced with potential blockers to the project; initiated brain storming sessions to identify and nurture solutions.Established if test conditions could be simulated internally prior to going for full approval to achieve the identified scope requirements.Responsible for steering the projects through independent approval processes for example CE, Shock and Vibration, ATEX and IP to achieve the identified scoped requirements. Ensured key milestones were proactively achieved, factoring in quality, cost, delivery, people, environment, approvals whilst ensuring that a Customer centric journey is experienced.
