About Brian Dillon
I trained as a public sector accountant with Bromley LB and Lambeth LB and progressed to Assistant Director of Finance at Lambeth, managing 30 professional finance and support staff, before leaving to join Cipfa Services Limited (CSL), the trading services arm of CIPFA, in 1983. I was appointed an executive member of the Main Board in 1985 developing new services for public sector clients.Since 1990 I have operated as an independent consultant adviser and senior interim working directly for local authorities, housing associations and advising businesses trading in the public services marketplace. I am widely experienced in governance matters and have been a non-executive member of a number of company boards. Since 2000 I have been Chair of Croydon Churches Housing Association.Specialties: Local authority, ALMO & housing association finance and governance. Objectivity and commonsense.
