Currently serves as the Project Manager for the design of two segments of the Honolulu light rail project (Airport Segment and City Center Segment). The combined two sections account for over 9 mile of elevated the light rail. The elevated alignment runs from Aloha Stadium, Pearl Harbor, the Honolulu Airport, China Town, downtown and terminates at Ala Moana (adjacent to Waikiki). The project is composed of a segmental viaduct constructed in the span-by-span method. To accommodate the elevated guideway, the design also includes: widening of portions of Kamehameha Highway, Dillingham Blvd and other streets to accommodate the guideway columns; improvements to sidewalks and medians; revise traffic signals; address environmental mitigation concerns, and other related improvements. Twelve stations are located along the alignment; however the design of the stations is not of this contract.Previously, served as the Design Manager on the SH161 project from the proposal phase thru the design phase and into design services during construction. The project was under the authority of the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), and was their first design-build project. SH161 (Phase 4) was a new 415 million dollar, 6.5-mile extension of the President George Bush Tollway located west of Dallas. The extension runs between Interstates 20 and 30. The project has complete direct connector build out connections at both interstate connections. The project has 45 bridges and over a million square feet of retaining walls. The four-lane divided facility is being built between two existing frontage roads.

Bangkok Mass Transit System (Design-Build); Bangkok, Thailand. Served as the Project Manager for the preliminary design, final design and construction support. As Project Manager, was responsible for financial, managerial and engineering control of this design-build project. Management included the coordination of numerous subconsultants located on three continents as well as oversight of design of the viaduct, stations, erection girders, casting yard, casting cells and form travelers.The BTS project consists of 24-km of elevated light-rail lines traveling 13-m over some of Bangkok’s busiest streets. The double-track viaduct comprised of precast segmental box girders forming spans averaging 35-m. Spans were assembled in the span-by-span method with an underslung gantry. The project also included the design of six cast-in-place, balanced cantilevers with a main spans varying from 48 to 60-m; segmental erection equipment; the casting cells; the casting yard; 22 typical stations and the Central Station. The Central Station, at the intersection of the two lines is a unique structure supporting four tracks at two different elevations over a five-lane roadway.Mission Valley West Extension of the San Diego Trolley; San Diego, California. Served as the Project Manager for the design of three cast-in-place box girder bridges for light-rail transit, built for San Diego’s Metropolitan Transit Development Board (MTDB). The design had to account for high seismic loads and liquefiable soils. Two of the structures included an integral elevated station. The three structures were: San Diego River Bridge (1,200-ft), Fashion Valley Bridge (4,500-ft), and Qualcomm Stadium Bridge (4,000-ft). As project manager, responsibilities included financial and technical oversight and coordination of the structural design.

C & D Canal Bridge; Wilmington, Delaware. Served as Project Engineer in charge of managing and assigning engineering tasks and budgets for the final design of his 4,650’ long segmental concrete box girder bridge. The 750’ cable-stayed main span was built with cantilever construction. This project received numerous awards, including the prestigious Harry S. Edwards Award for Design Excellence.Natchez Trace Parkway Arches; Franklin, Tennessee. Bridge Engineer responsible for the design of the longitudinal post-tensioning (both superstructure and arch). The precast concrete, variable-depth box girder was built in balanced cantilever. The bridge is 1,572’ long, 34’ wide, and is supported by two precast concrete arches (582’ arch span), and was selected for the NEA Presidential Design Award.
