Compressor aero lead for T901

Lead axial compressor aerodynamics for next generation military turboshaft engine.

Detailed design of individual airfoils and integration of designs from team into compressor system. Lead engine and rig test for compressor aerodynamics. Worked with team to assess hardware and approve or recommend manufacturing changes.

Detailed design of high pressure compressor airfoils for multiple military turboshaft engines. Part of multidisciplinary team to balance performance, operability, aeromechanics, and mechanical requirements.

I worked in the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Improvements and Derivatives group at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in Marietta, Georgia. I worked with member of the avionics, propulsion, and structures groups, as well as representatives from Rolls-Royce to consider the feasibility of a proposed engine modification. I wrote the modification.

I was primarily responsible for moving an internal website to a new hosting location and designing and implementing improvements. I conducted surveys of current users and worked with another intern to experiment with different features. I also assisted in making and organizing presentations as well as market research.
