Bedford's original goal was 852 days No Lost Time Incidents. The new Bedford Goal is 2557 days, 7 years. Breached the 6-year (1/17/2018 - 1/17/2024) No Lost Time barrier. and surpassed the goal set in 2015 of 1854 days (1855 days 2/16/23). EHS Manager at Bedford Paper.The duties of the EHS Manager oversee all Safety areas. Design and install a new Safety partnership with every employee. The main concept is to involve and empower employees to drive safety and change in order to maintain a safety culture. Bedford's safety program has formed a long-term safety program and safe environment for employees to be proud of their safe workmanship. 2323 days without a lost time does not "just happen". Employees must be safe at home and work to accomplish this with limited effort. A culture instills employees to act the right way at work and at home, when someone is looking or when no one is looking. Actions are natural and honest without noticeable effort for safety. Safety starts with the employees, Bedford has great employees. The responsibility of the EHS Manager is to install processes and procedures to ensure the best possible Safety initiatives and workmanship goes into every product. Perform Safety Audits and review all 3 shift production. Develop, write, and train on SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Spearheaded employee meetings to keep employees informed. conduct safety meetings, complete monthly inspections, review incidents/accidents, and train on OSHA-required yearly training. Monitor safety, the previous record at Bedford was 582 days with no lost time.
