Provide strategic financial leadership to achieve organizational vision and maintain long-term financial health. Oversee and support the full range of financial and accounting services, advising on all financial matters, compliance, and risk management. Ensure the effective operations and of accounting, fund administration, forecasting, budgeting and IT.

Oversee treasury, accounting, budgeting, financial planning, IT, public safety and human resources. Also responsible for sustainability, capital projects, facilities management, real estate, dining and bookstore operations, event planning and summer programs, risk management, and procurement.

Budget Officer for $3 Billion five campus University system. Develop annual budgets and multi-year forecasts. Develop and execute strategies for long-term financial sustainability including revenue generation, state appropriation advocacy, cost savings initiatives and multi-campus collaborative projects. Inform and support senior university leadership on critical financial decisions.

Member of the leadership team in an entrepreneurial division created to pursue the distance learning market. Oversee development and administration of the e-learning platform for UMass's distance learning initiatives. Through collaboration consolidated all the distance learning programs of the University onto a single platform. Subsequently leveraged the technology platform to create a new line of hosting business for colleges seeking an e-learning infrastructure. Manage all aspects of UMassOnline business affairs.

Managed research projects in higher education policy, finance and administration. Projects included annual Tuition Discount Survey, National Benchmarking study, and Comparative Financial Statistics report.

Worked with program staff and funding agencies to develop grant proposals. Played key role in receiving a Joyce Foundation grant that at the time was largest grant in organization's history. Compiled annual wildlife calendar, including solicitation of photos and fundraising for financial support. Provided general office support.
