After 29 years with Local 150 I have moved on the Smart Local 265. Hopefully my knowledge and Union experience will allow me to increase productivity and member satisfaction at this new organization. Over 25years experience working for Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150 Health and Welfare Fund in various capacities. Starting in the mail room in 1992, I was quickly promoted to disability examiner handling short term disability claims for sick and injured employees. Within a few years I was entered into on the job training as a Medical/Dental claims examiner. With a prior background in Anatomy/Physiology this became an excellent usage of my skills. I was then promoted to a full time claims examiner. During this time I was also able to hone my skills as a customer service representative as back up to that department.
