Medical Equipment: Explored new and innovative manufacturing methods used on Mass Spectrometry (Triple Stage Quadrapole & Tribrids) and Sample Prep systems both New Product Design Introduction (NPDI) and released products. Effectively utilized 3D printing, plastic injection molding and second sourcing to reduce costs and improve functionality as part of a Value Added/Value Engineering (VAVE) team. A 16% savings on one product was achieved with plastic injection molding technology. As part of a small De-Risk team for the Sample Prep division we managed to capture an additional $10 million in revenue per quarter through second sourcing of suppliers and the accomplishment was acknowledged to us personally by the VP of the business unit.
