Every project brings its own unique challenges. I relish the opportunity to transform these challenges in to unique and meaningful built form.My +20-year career has afforded me many wonderful opportunities to work on an extremely diverse portfolio of projects, from small custom residences to large hospital projects, and in every project phase from initial proposal through programming, design and construction. I am grateful to have been presented with the opportunity to do work around the world and experience first-hand the cultural, environmental and aesthetic forces that inform each unique built environment.Most importantly, my work has allowed me to work alongside some of the best people in the business, as both a team member and team leader. My greatest satisfaction comes from collaborating to create and implement unique solutions with talented and capable partners.I have been learning and applying music - countless who's, what's, why's, where's, when's, how's - for all of my life. All of those details feed my intellectual curiosity. What I cherish most, though, is music's ability to transcend time. It's easy to get lost in the moment as a listener. As a performer, however, the act of creating in the constant present with a group of like-minded friends is, like music itself, a joyful experience beyond adequate description outside of itself.As a longtime volunteer in the educational community, I am committed to continuing the mission of my own personal and professional mentors. My goal is to help young people develop the skills necessary to have a positive impact in their world: creativity, cultural/artistic literacy, self-confidence, a collaborative spirit and an independent mindset.
