Recent Position until June of 2010: Power System Specialist-Switchman TrainerDuties: Develops, coordinates, and administers the Rocky Mountain Region switchman certification program. Routinely provides annual training for both Western and non-Western switchmen, including RMR dispatchers. Routinely ensures training is properly scheduled and documented. Generally tailors training program content to meet the needs of maintenance and dispatching functions. Generally tailors training program content to meet the knowledge level of the recipient. Acts as a liaison between Operations, Muni's and REA's to implement regional reliability policies, procedures, and guidelines Works closely with coworkers, peers, and customers to develop and implements power system operational procedures. My position serves as technical operating liaison for various procedural problems that arise. Maintain contact list and update SCADA.Develops Operating Procedures Assists in developing and revising dispatch operating procedures, including substation Standard Operating Procedures, when necessary. Co-chairman and Co-administer of Employee Switching Error and Miscue Program As required, serves as chairman of an ad-hoc team that investigates reported switching errors. Routinely completes reports within 60 days of knowledge of the switching error/miscue.
