Supervising local mechanics, welders, and electricians in maintaining a fleet of stimulation equipment, which included domestic and western service rigs, fracturing, cementing, and transport equipment. This was a hands on position, overseeing and teaching local tradesmen western maintenance procedures and repair work. I was also involved in the inventory control and ordering of parts and equipment, making sure all maintenance and progress reports were completed in a correct and timely manner. As part of the Company’s pilot project in Dong Ying City, China, for 6 months I worked on a project startup, where we preformed test well fracturing and later commenced an operation deploying fracturing and service rig equipment. Upon completion of the project I have returned to my original duties in the Russian Federation.

As a Maintenance Supervisor and later promoted to a Service Manager, I worked both, out of the main base and satellite districts. This position was a hands on position and involved supervising the day to day maintenance and fabrication of equipment, shop and field. There were approximately 400 units involved in four operations. Our equipment base consisted of thirty-three western and domestic service rigs, four frac fleets, seven cementing units, two conventional tubing units, a coil tubing drilling unit, three nitrogen pumpers, twenty one bed trucks along with picker trucks, and numerous support equipment and light vehicles. My duties included overseeing of 20 plus expatriate mechanics and electricians and 60 plus local mechanics, welders, machinists, and electricians. As a great number of this equipment was older, there were major overhauls to be performed and a lot of fabrication. I was involved in all the overhauling, fabrication and standardizing of this equipment plus the daily preventative maintenance and repairs. I worked closely with the logistics department on ensuring that spare parts were ordered in a timely manner.

I am currently employed by STEP Energy Services in their Red Deer, Alberta Service Center. My role with STEP Energy Services is to manage the day to day shop and field maintenance activities currently consisting of two Fracturing fleets with a staff of ten maintenance professionals both shop and field. In my role as Shop Foreman I am involved with helping to develop a preventative maintenance and inventory program along with a team of STEP Energy professionals both maintenance and logistics. As part of the STEP Energy Services team our goal is to add two more Fracturing fleets in 2016 which means retrofitting idle asset equipment and working with third party venders to ensure modifications and repairs are completed on time.

Energy China in their Kazakhstan KBM operation, overseeing a 150 member crew of mechanics, welders and electricians. My roll there was to ensure that all the repair work and preventative maintenance on a fleet of 600 plus oil field trucks and trailers was performed in a safe and timely manner. This was a hands-on position involving the day to day shop and field maintenance within the KBM oil field. I was involved in teaching local mechanics trouble shooting techniques and proper preventative maintenance skills. Apart from that, I was involved in generating and completing of daily service orders, work orders and employee schedules to ensure these were done properly. I also ensured that safety procedures, policies and meetings were adhered to, holding regular safety meetings. I was laid off along with other expatriate employees on a completion of the Project.

Ensign International Energy Services.Mekhaizna ADR Project. Oman, Middle East Performed duties of a Senior Rig Mechanic for Ensign Drilling division engaged in a drilling project in Oman, contracting to Occidental Petroleum. The drilling rigs consisted of five ADR rigs which were completely hydraulically operated. I was also in charge of servicing and maintaining camp generator units, mobile cranes and loaders and light vehicles.

My role included supervision of a 260 employee team consisting of mechanics, welders, electricians & machinists, transport drivers and numerous administration staff. My responsibilities were to maintain the surface fleet of oil field equipment, ensuring that maintenance of the support and transport equipment for the drilling and service rigs was performed in a safe and timely manner as well as to design and construct pipe lines and flow lines for the oil fields and the water flood and oil collection process plant. This was a hands on field position which included field work along with administration work and ongoing training. When in 2008, the company was sold and I went onto further my career.

In this position, I managed the Grande Prairie District Maintenance Department for Calfrac Well Services Ltd, which consisted of 110 trades’ employees such as heavy duty mechanics / apprentices, electronic techs, instrumentation mechanics, partsmen, and welders. We maintained a fleet of over 640 units in three major facilities in Grande Prairie and Clairmont, Alberta, and Dawson Creek, British Columbia. My daily routine consisted of ensuring that all of our shops and mobile field maintenance crews were safe and that all employees understood and obeyed the Company’s Safety Rules and Policies. I worked closely with other District Managers and Maintenance Supervisors to ensure that all equipment was safe and in the best operating condition. Part of my duties included cooperation with third party venders, both locally and worldwide. I dealt with all warranty issues pertaining to new and used equipment. The Calfrac’s Grande Prairie district runs a large fleet of Fracturing, Coil Tubing, Nitrogen and Transport equipment used in oil well stimulation and is the largest operation in all of the Company’s global operations. To my strong believe, my past experiences had made me an effective manager. I feel confident in making quick decisions involving personnel or equipment and trust that my style of managing of the maintenance department had made Calfrac and other companies I have worked for in the past a better place to work. I was transferred to US operations in July 2012 and became the US Division Maintenance Manager working from the Denver corporate office.

During these years, I worked in a heavy maintenance section overhauling and repairing oilfield stimulation equipment as well as in a fabrication section building stimulation equipment for the domestic and international operations. On top of that I operated a mobile service truck performing emergency and preventative maintenance service repairs. Areas of work included Canadian provinces Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. Eventually, I was promoted to a Lead Mechanic at the Maintenance and Fabrication facility in Calgary. My new duties included supervision of the maintenance and fabrication mechanics, daily reports and time sheets. This was a hands-on position working directly with maintenance mechanics and management.Prior to joining the Canadian Fracmaster Ltd. in 1984, I worked in road construction, trucking, gas plant processing, and the forestry industry performing duties of a heavy duty mechanic and welder.
