This position was a hands on position and involved supervising the day to day maintenance and fabrication of equipment, shop and field. There were approximately 400 units involved in four operations. Our equipment base consisted of thirty-three western and domestic service rigs, four frac fleets, seven cementing units, two conventional tubing units, a coil tubing drilling unit, three nitrogen pumpers, twenty one bed trucks along with picker trucks, and numerous support equipment and light vehicles. My duties included overseeing of 20 plus expatriate mechanics and electricians and 60 plus local mechanics, welders, machinists, and electricians. As a great number of this equipment was older, there were major overhauls to be performed and a lot of fabrication. I was involved in all the overhauling, fabrication and standardizing of this equipment plus the daily preventative maintenance and repairs. I worked closely with the logistics department on ensuring that spare parts were ordered in a timely manner. -

I worked closely with other District Managers and Maintenance Supervisors to ensure that all equipment was safe and in the best operating condition. Part of my duties included cooperation with third party venders, both locally and worldwide. I dealt with all warranty issues pertaining to new and used equipment. The Calfrac’s Grande Prairie district runs a large fleet of Fracturing, Coil Tubing, Nitrogen and Transport equipment used in oil well stimulation and is the largest operation in all of the Company’s global operations. To my strong believe, my past experiences had made me an effective manager. I feel confident in making quick decisions involving personnel or equipment and trust that my style of managing of the maintenance department had made Calfrac and other companies I have worked for in the past a better place to work.
