Project scale approx. 1500MW offshore windfarm. This role required the following: Contract drafting and negotiation with suppliers for goods, services and licences, and providing general commercial legal advice; Management of external legal services providers for the review, drafting and negotiation of contracts for the supply of for goods, services and licences; Development and implementation of internal governance processes such as an Operational Risk Management Framework, Delegation of Authority, Business Operations Management Plan and Legal Agreements and Contracting Policy; Preparing applications for government issued licences; Drafting resolutions for the Board of Directors, delineating requirements for the delegation of Board powers to certain Directors and project personnel; Interfacing with project and corporate management to identify and delineate contracts/procurement principles such as related to risk allocation criteria, commercial, reputational and regulatory requirements. Preparation and maintenance of the project contacts register. Managing the approval, execution and storage of services contracts and related agreements.

Acting as ContractLegal Advisor for the Sakarya Gas Field Development, Black Sea, Turkey [Project value US$3.6 Billion]: This role required the following: Contract drafting and negotiation with suppliers for the main EPIC contract and associated legal instruments, and providing general commercial legal advice

Contracts management, commercial legal support, procurement support - client, main contractor, subcontractor, vendor, JIP and teaming contracts management and support and general commercial/business legal advice.  Primary reviewer and negotiator of: Services and supply contracts including EPC, EPCM, PMC, EPIC, FEED, Concept, Pre-FEED, Detailed Design, EPF, loaned personnel, procurement support, spare parts, verification services etc. at values up to £150M; Associated subcontracts for the supply of equipment, materials and services at values up to £50M; Related legal instruments, such as letters of intent, on-demand bank guarantees, conditional surety bonds, collateral warranties, non-disclosure agreements and parent company guarantees; Associated teaming agreements such as collaboration agreements, joint venture agreements and consortium agreements; and Technology licensing agreements, technology assignment agreements, software licensing agreements and intellectual property (R&D) development agreements. General contracts related legal and commercial advice including tax and compliance issues. Development and implementation of quality management systems and contracting strategy in relation to supply chain management for the procurement and fabrication of complex subsea oil and gas equipment. General legal support Supporting the legal department in relation to the delineation and resolution of various legal matters at both pre-litigation and litigation stage such as the defence of, or settlement of debt claims, insurance disputes, contractual disputes with subcontractors and clients, and corporate law issues such as the appointment and resignation of company directors and the requirements for the declaring of dividends; Commercial property contracts, including commercial property head and sub-leases for facilities, and residential tenancy agreements for employee secondments and relocations;  Dispute resolution;

Contracts Management support for existing projects such as contract interpretation, preparation and negotiation of associated variations and amendment, dispute resolution, management of suppliers.

Similar to the subsequent Contracts Manager - Subsea and Export Systems role, but limited to the EAME region.

Engineering management and technical consulting - Management and execution of conceptual, FEED, detailed design, procurement support, fabrication, and pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil and gas engineering activities, with a specialist focus on project management, risk management, process engineering, flow assurance and technical safety, including the implementation of safety instrumented systems to IEC61508/11;o Workshop Facilitation – Facilitation of technical options identification meetings and technical risk assessment studies including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA inc. FTA and Bow-Tie analysis;o Oil and Gas Projects – Experience in all areas of the oil and gas industry including upstream and downstream, offshore, onshore and subsea. Key specialist experience in refining, subsea production and gas transport and conditioning facilities. Subsea and Topsides Production Facilities [Project values of up toapprox. $20 Billion] Dry and wet trees, subsea manifolds, infield flowlines, offshore pipelines, pigging; Safety instrumented systems including subsea HIPPS and pipeline HIPPS/HIPS; Topsides 3-phase separation systems, gas conditioning, chemical injection systems, water treatment and water/gas injection; Blow down/relief systems. Transnational Gas Transportation Systems [Project values of up toapprox. $20 Billion] Subsea gas pipelines up to 900km length, 2000m depth; and o Associated landfall facilities including process control, metering, safeguarding systems (i.e. pipeline HIPPS/HIPS), pigging and depressurisation / re-pressurisation;o Compressor stations including turbine/driver, compressor, metering, safety system Transnational onshore waxy crude pipelines including heating systems, pumping stations and associated systems, pressure control and safety systems.

Process Development Engineer. My main duties related to the engineering and management of design and commissioning for various brown field process developments, process optimisation and debottlenecking and energy security infrastructure such as combined heat and power and natural gas importation facilities.
