As the Public Information Officer at the Town of Smithfield, I am passionate about creating and delivering effective and engaging communication strategies that inform, educate, and inspire the public. In this role, I have developed a strong skill set in new media, events, social networking, and public relations, as well as a solid understanding of the town's mission, vision, and values.Prior to joining the town, I served as Media Director at Hocutt Baptist Church for over 16 years, where I oversaw the church's brand and standards for all media products, built the overall communication plan, and managed the technical components for worship services. I also produced weekly videos, managed social media and web-related messaging, and archived all audio, video, graphics, and other materials. Through these experiences, I have honed my abilities in photography, advertising, sales, event management, and audio/video editing, as well as demonstrated excellence in leadership, creativity, and collaboration.
