A field of rotor driven generator units is connected by electrical cable to a modest shoreside facility for control and delivery of electrical power. The submerged equipment is environmentally friendly, poses no danger to mankind or biota, and does not interfere with public activity. Modules in arrays are sized and arranged to enhance quality and quantity of power production with attendant operational redundancy and reliability. Component simplicity and selection of materials give durability with minimal capital and maintenance costs. Design and positioning of the units assure survival and operability during storms. The BlueTec Energy target for sites with moderate to high wave energy throughout the world is unsubsidized price per kW-hr competitive with conventional grid-connected facilities.
